Empowering LGBTI Individuals through Inclusive Carpenter Courses

At LGBTI Health & Wellbeing Victoria, we believe in empowering individuals to pursue their passions and career goals, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or intersex status. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our new program, “Inclusive Carpenter Courses,” designed to create a supportive and welcoming learning environment for LGBTI individuals interested in pursuing a career in carpentry.

In partnership with TIV Victoria, we offer the Certificate III in Carpentry program, which provides comprehensive training in all aspects of carpentry, from foundational skills to advanced techniques. Our inclusive carpenter courses focus on creating an environment where all students, including LGBTI individuals, can learn, grow, and succeed without fear of discrimination or prejudice.

The Certificate III in Carpentry program covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • Occupational health and safety
  • Carpentry tools and equipment
  • Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Framing, flooring, and roofing systems
  • Interior and exterior finishes
  • Specialised carpentry techniques

Our collaboration with TIV Victoria ensures that our Inclusive Carpenter Courses are taught by highly experienced and qualified instructors who are committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, respect, and support for all students.

By participating in our Inclusive Carpenter Courses, LGBTI individuals can gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to excel in the carpentry industry. Upon completion of the Certificate III in Carpentry program, graduates will be well-equipped to pursue rewarding careers in residential and commercial construction, renovation, and more.
